“Wheel Off” Alert card
After every wheel removal a Driver Warning card will be left on your
vehicle to remind you that the wheel has been changed and will require a
wheel torque check to be carried out.
Wheel nuts Re-Torque
After a wheel has been changed and the wheel nuts re-torqued, the wheel
nuts need to be rechecked at 40-80km. They must also be visually
checked physically as part of the daily/weekly checks.
A 30 minute retorque may also be carried out by approved external tyre
fitters.
Calibrated Torque wrenches are available at all AMS Ltd sites.
Every time a driver changes vehicle the wheel flags and a visual check of the wheel
assembly must be performed.
