MRF shutdown procedures and external bin storage conditions

              The following insurance conditions must be completed at Yapton daily:


                    Portable Heaters


                     No form of portable heating appliance may be used


                    External Storage Bins

                     Keep all external storage at least 10 metres from any building except any storage
                     kept in lidded metal containers with lockable lids (the metal lids for the roro bins
                     are classified as lockable)
                     Keep all external storage at least 2.5 metres from any external boundary fence
                     Restrict all external storage to a maximum of 4 metres in height
                     Maintain 4 metres separation between stacks of externally stored material
                     Ensure a minimum distance of 6 metres is maintained out of business hours
                     between any external storage &/or combustible materials and any fixed or mobile
                     plant


                    MRF Shut Down Procedures

                     You must ensure that immediately prior to the premises being closed for business
                     or left unattended that all contents (including shredders, conveyors & screeners)
                     are cleared of refuse and waste materials and any accumulative waste materials
                     removed from within and around the immediate vicinity any such contents
                     You must not accept any delivery of feedstock less than one hour before site
                     closure
                     At Yapton, Tipner, Dibles & Quatremaine Road you must maintain a Fire-watch for
                     at least 30 minutes after the last waste delivery accepted or 1 hour after last
                     waste processing whichever is the latter. Fire-watch to include use of thermal
                     imaging/probes or visual heat detection system (visual inspections are adequate)

              Changes  have  been  made  to  the  TJ  038  TJ  Waste  Daily  Site  Diary  to  reflect  these
              conditions to ensure they are monitored, and inspections documented. Changes have
              also been made to the TJ 062 Site Monthly Inspection Form which the company health &
              safety representatives use to conduct audits.
