30 Night Shift Site Policy

within the business.
Night Shift Operatives Responsibilities
The Health and Safety responsibilities of the above personnel are to ensure that they:
1. Understand the Company’s health and Safety Policy, understand your responsibilities and
comply with the requirements;
2. Use the correct tools and equipment for the task;
3. Use the personal protective equipment provided;
4. Only use tools which are in good condition;
5. Report all defects in tools, plant, equipment and materials, or any obvious safety or health
hazards;
6. Take reasonable care not to endanger yourself or other persons through your actions or
omissions at work;
7. Avoid improvisation;
8. Warn new employees of known hazards;
9. Refrain from horseplay, and follow all health and safety site rules;
10. Do not misuse or abuse anything provided under a statutory requirement in the interests of
health and safety;
11. Co-operate with the company on all aspects of health, safety and welfare;
12. Do not operate any equipment or machinery unless you have been fully trained and
instructed in its operation;
13. Report all accidents and incidents so that action can be taken to prevent a recurrence;
14. Accident forms and the accident book must be completed, Near Miss Investigations will be
carried out and any findings reported to the Health and Safety Manager and the Managing
Director;
15. Inform your line manager or Director of any change to your state of health, either temporary
or permanent, which might affect your working ability or suitability to carry out any
particular task or tasks;
16. Carry out checks on vehicles and plant as requested by management or the law;
17. Stop any unsafe act immediately and report it to the Head of Compliance or in their absence
a Director, as soon as reasonably practicable;
18. Covid regulations will be complied with and actions taken across the business to ensure that
all measures are taken to protect anyone affected by TJ’s operations.
19. Follow the training you have been given to undertake your role safely.
