Dust masks should not be left lying around the site and it is your duty to ensure the cleanliness
and safe storage of your items.
You may also be provided with a P3 disposable dust mask these offer the
same level of protection as the Elipse masks but are disposable and are
designed to last a single shift.
Air Powered Respirators (TREND)
This battery powered RPE is to be used when working in dusty
environments, such as the picking line, or undertaking tasks that
generate large amounts of dust, such as blowing dust out from
machines. And should only be used by personnel who are bearded or
not face fit tested.
These are fitted with APF20 (P3) filters. Please ensure that you read the instructions before use
and always check that the required air flow is available using the air tube provided.
Before use
✓ Seek permission from the Site Foreman.
✓ Read the original instruction manual to familiarise yourself for correct and safe use.
✓ Visually inspect the respirator for damage and clean with anti-bacterial wipes if needed.
✓ Perform a functional test using the ‘airflow indicator’, and replace filters if required.
✓ Complete the sign in/out form.
After use
✓ Place the battery on charge.
✓ Clean the respirator using anti-bacterial wipes.
✓ Close off the sign in/out form.
Within the storage box you will find the following items:
✓ Helmet
✓ Two Filters
✓ Airflow Indicator
✓ Charger
✓ Anti-bacterial wipes
✓ Original instruction manual
✓ Booklet (containing: TJ061 forms, product guarantee certificate, and COSHH maintenance &
examination record)
