               20.4  Steel & Duct Fabrication Shop Safety Instructions
               1.    The  movement  of  steel  can  be  a  safe  procedure  if  carried  out  correctly.  If  you  are
                     unaware of the potential dangers, it can become an extremely dangerous exercise. You
                     must  follow  the  safe  working  procedures  set  out  below  at  all  times.  If  you  are
                     unsure, or need any points explaining to you, please ask your manager for clarifying
                     advice.
               2.    Regular Health & Safety meetings are held at Harrison Industrial to discuss all safety
                     issues. At these meetings Managers and designated site operatives will discuss possible
                     improvements,  near  misses  and  training  issues.  These  meetings  are  designed  to
                     improve the Health and safety culture within your working environment.
               3.    All near misses must be reported to your Site Manager. These include near collisions
                     with site machinery, buildings, customers vehicles, persons on foot within the site, or any
                     incident  where  any  person  could  have  been  injured.  All  near  misses  are  recorded,
                     reviewed and kept on file. Any changes necessary to prevent a re-occurrence will be
                     initiated immediately.
               4.    The Foreman must read and fully understand the company policies and if unclear or not
                     understood, you must ask Richard Bailey to explain these points fully.
               5.    Only authorised personnel are allowed on the site and they should have signed in at
                     Reception.
               6.    All  Harrison  Industrial  working  area  require  staff  to  be  wearing  safety  glasses,  ear
                     protection, high vis overalls and safety boots. All operatives must ensure that all visitors
                     and customers are wearing the above items excluding the overalls at all times whilst on
                     site. We often have visitors and customers who are unaware of these safety precautions.
                     These safety precautions must be explained to them upon arrival and safety glasses, ear
                     defenders and safety boots loaned to them for the duration of their visit if required.
               7.    The Harrison Industrial site is NO SMOKING (Including e-cigarette). This includes all
                     offices, toilets and other buildings.  No employee may smoke on site at any time unless
                     in an agreed smoking area these will be at least 10 metres away from any flammable
                     material.
               8.    Should you see a visitor / customer smoking on site please instruct them to extinguish
                     their  cigarette,  cigar  or pipe  immediately.  This also  applies  to  employees,  visitors  or
                     customers smoking within their vehicles.  You must report any smoking incident to your
                     Site Manager please.
               9.    All operatives are supplied with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), for use whilst
                     carrying out your daily work. You must always wear your PPE whilst on site. Always wear
                     your protective gloves when handling waste. If your PPE equipment becomes defective
                     or excessively worn, you must report it to your manager who will arrange replacement
                     equipment for you.
               10.  Dust masks to the P3 standard are also supplied for your use and you will be asked to
                     undergo a face fit test.
               11.  Under no circumstances are persons under16 years of age allowed to enter the site
                     either on foot or as a passenger, except by prior arrangement with one of the company
                     directors.
               12.  By following the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and company Safety Policies, your
                     working environment can be a safe place to be for everyone.  Unfortunately, accidents
                     may happen, so there are guidelines in place to help you deal with any such emergencies
                     please refer to section 4 of this manual.
               13.  There are a variety of machines to aid in the steel fabrication process. No operative
                     may operate any machinery on site until they have been fully trained by either an
                     external instructor or in-house competent person and have been assessed as competent
