The Actual Practice:

                •  A 50 stock index was created by the faculty members of Finance Area.

                •  The  index  has  representation  from  across  industries  like  Cement,  IT,  Auto,  Banking,
                   Pharma, Retail, Insurance, FMCG, Textile, Petroleum and Gas, Tyres, Paint etc.

                •  The base date is from 7  July 2018 and built on free float methodology. The base value

                   is 1,800.

                •  The index will be revised bi-annually. Students will monitor and readjust the CMS 50
                   Index portfolio.

                •  Courses  like  International  Finance,  Wealth  Management  &  Investment  Analysis  and

                   Portfolio  Management  are  delivered  by  taking  CMS  50  Index  as  the  proxy  for  the
                   benchmark index.

                •  Assignments are based on CMS 50 Index companies.

                •  The corporate practices of these 50 companies are closely monitored to appreciate the
                   strategies around enterprise risk management, growth and sustainability.



            Outcomes:
                •  Experiential Learning as far portfolio building

                •  Assimilating business models

                •  Able to comprehend the industry landscape

                •  It is contributing to better performance



            TITLE OF THE PRACTICE: BUSINESS JIGSAW


                   Objective of the Practice:

                   Business Jigsaw is a carefully crafted business game designed and developed by the CMS
                   Business  School  faculty  members.  It  aims  to  familiarize  an  MBA  student  with

                   competitive gaming scenarios

                •  Encourages  student  teams  to  successfully  solve  creatively  designed,  unstructured
                   business challenges (triggers)

                •  Students are not known to each other on campus when they begin playing the game

                •  Great opportunity to meet and mingle as peers for the first time in CMS Business School
                   through the Business Jigsaw activity!

                •  Students remain in the same group for the duration of the game


            The Actual Practice:


                •  Student groups are anchored to an Industry
                •  Station managed by a Class Mentor

                •  The student groups are assigned one company across seven industries

                •  Student groups play the game

                •  Triggers given at regular intervals and as per the schedule shared
