TITLE OF THE PRACTICE: ACTIVITY BASED LEARNING
Objective of the Practice:
• To create a generation of learners who are able to adapt themselves to the
environment around them perfectly and practically.
• To encourage thinking, independent learning, solving problems, observation,
dialoguing with one's self, dialoguing with others, guessing, applicability,
imagination, creation and innovation.
• To develop self-learning skill among the learners and allows them to study
according to his or her skill
The Actual Practice:
• Students are regularly kept motivated to the subject by involving them in various
activities like helping them familiarize the terminologies with the help of MCQ’s.
Mnemonics, crosswords, collage making, maintaining crime diary and the like.
• In order to provide a platform to the students to understand the functioning of the
Criminal Justice System a moot court presentation is conducted. In this a mock court
is set up where the class room is divided into groups and each group is given a case
and the judiciary procedure for the same is presented. Students are encouraged to
participate in the same by performing the role of judge, police officer, victim,
advocate, suspect, forensic expert, doctor etc…
• Connecting academics to applied learning through pedagogical innovations has
always been the core strength at the department and the following are a few
