• To Provide opportunity to students for experiential learning in an outdoor environment
through participative activities, wherein their mental and physical abilities are brought
to fore.
• To assist students to realize their potentials (strengths and weaknesses) so that they
work on themselves to strengthen their strong abilities and work to convert
weaknesses to strengths.
• To teach them to draw long-lasting and useful lessons from their experience. (It is not
what happened to one that is important; but what one makes out of that happening is
important).
• To develop intellectual abilities like Effective Intelligence, Reasoning abilities,
Organizing abilities and Power of Expression.
• To develop leadership qualities like initiative, Resourcefulness, Self-confidence and
Liveliness.
• To develop social qualities like co-operation, social adaptability, ability to be part of a
group and a sense of responsibilities.
• To develop Dynamic qualities like Physical Fitness, Determination and Courage
Context that Required Initiation of the Practice:
Out Bound Learning (OBL) programme is conducted under the name ‘Vishva Chaarana’
To meet the challenges of life intellectual abilities need to be backed by personal qualities such
as self-confidence, courage, physical and mental stamina and motivation to perform. The
Vishva Chaarana programme is designed to develop these qualities through structured out-
bound learning experiences. OBL programme also help students to overcome fear, Create an
urge to DO, Kindle fire to perform and Test & Enhance Self- Esteem.
Our OBL programme is based on the philosophy that ‘Nature is the Best Teacher’. Activities
like Mountaineering, Rappelling, and Team building games form integral part of our training
programme. Additional activities like Jungle Trek, Night Trek Hill Climbing, White water
Rafting, Para Sailing and Micro light flying too are conducted regularly.
Although the programme has been one of our important components from the beginning of
this year our focus is to introduce new activities, streamline the previous activities, have tie
ups with training and wildlife organizations, scout for new training grounds and introducing
Parasailing and Micro light Flying as addition to our present list of activities.
At the end of each programme the participants feels a sense of achievement, develops faith in
his ability to learn new skills quickly. These two aspects enable them to look for further
greater challenges. Thus the process of Personality development is set in motion.
Further, the lessons like ‘To be at it - To get it’, ‘Unnecessary Fear of the Unknown’, and
‘Experimental Adventure to Self-Discovery’ enable the participant to face future challenges
