Though the department has produced more than 26 films from the past few years, this year has
been earmarked to produce and focus a few special projects which are theme based like
Vriksha depicting our Indian Culture and Heritage on growing and protecting local species of
trees.
A few films are currently being produced on Temple Architecture, ‘Why Conserve Nature’,
Places of Worship and National Integration. The department is also at present involved in a
special project of producing 8 short films on Swami Vivekananda’s Childhood Days for
Ramakrishna Mutt to commemorate the ‘150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’. It has
been proposed that this film will be showcased in all schools across the country.
The best practices of IQAC, JAIN (Deemed to be University) focuses on aspects of experiential
learning to build entrepreneurial/ intrapreneurial competencies for overall holistic
development of the students. It lays emphasis on creativity, leadership, empathy and feelings
towards humanity. The university aims at not only creating an educational environment but
also myriad things which establish close connections with the community. These practices are
in the interests of both stakeholders and the community.
IQAC best practices at Jain (Deemed to be University) have impacted the stakeholders and had
lead to discussions, thoughtful questions, and reflective responses developing cooperative
groups, creating jobs, job opportunities, honing entrepreneurial skills, survey studies, hand
holding, self-assessment, and university – community engagements/ dialogues/ responses/
relationships. They have been able to inculcate positive ideas, social skills, interaction with
various groups and the like. These practices have created opportunities for various
stakeholders to know, understand and involve in various activities beyond the realm of
teaching and learning.

TITLE OF THE PRACTICE: EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
Part A: Title of the Practice: Outbound Learning
Programme (OBL) – Vishwa Spandhana
Goals: “Learning is the process whereby knowledge is
created”.
Insights into individual, team behaviors, team building,
leadership traits, courage development, sole and group
performances are some of the practices developed through
outdoor activities and experiential learning. All these provide
an immersive learning experience and are result oriented in terms of outcome-based learning.
