SWAYAMPRABHA is an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to
provide a group of 32 High quality DTH channels devoted to telecasting of high quality educational

programmes on 24x7 basis. It has curriculum based content covering diverse disciplines. In order

to understand the subject better and develop interest topics like History of firearms was shown
using one of the channels from SWAYAMPRABHA to the students.

Outcome:

The students found it easy to comprehend the various aspects of a subject that cannot be confined

to blackboard teaching on using instructional videos as projected by the government initiatives.
