Seasoned Beef and Corkscrew Pasta
Ingredients and Prep:
1/2 tablespoon of dried oregano.
1 1/2 cups of corkscrew pasta.
1 chopped red onion.
1 cube of organic beef stock.
1 8-ounce can of chopped tomatoes.
2 cloves of grated garlic.
3/4 pound of ground beef.
Oil.
Cooking Directions:
Dissolve the beef stock in a bit of hot water.
Pour a bit of coconut or sesame oil into a large frying pan.
Place the beef and onion in the pan. Brown the meat and the drain away
the fat.
Add the beef stock, tomatoes, oregano and garlic.
Place the pan over medium heat and bring it to a boil.
Add the pasta and cover the pan.
Cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Stir frequently.
Uncover the pan and keep it over low heat for an additional 5 minutes.
Serving Instructions, Tips & Variations: Optional ingredients for this
dish include cayenne pepper, pureed organic tomatoes, plus a dash of
red wine or a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce. If you opt to include
one or more of these ingredients, add them with the beef stock,
tomatoes, oregano and garlic.
Opt for lean beef for this dish.
