Seasoned Beef and Macaroni Dinner
Ingredients and Prep:
1 chopped onion.
1 chopped clove of garlic.
1 chopped green bell pepper.
1 beef stock cube.
1 16-ounce box of macaroni.
2 29-ounce cans of tomato passata.
1 1/2 pounds of ground beef.
Ground black pepper and salt.
Herbal seasonings such as oregano, thyme and a bay leaf.
Oil.
Cooking Directions:
Dissolve the beef stock cube in a bit of hot water.
Cook pasta according to package directions.
Drain away the water from the cooked pasta.
Brown ground beef over medium heat in a pan.
Add chopped onion and garlic, and cook until onion is soft.
Add green pepper, passata and the beef stock.
Add the herbs.
Cook until pepper is soft.
Serve over the pasta.
Serving Instructions, Tips & Variations: Optional ingredients for this
dish include 1 can of stewed tomatoes and a bit of red wine. If you would
like to add the red wine, pour in a small amount after adding the herbs.
Stir and taste; add a bit more if desired.
Use lean ground beef for this dish.
Suitable oil types include sesame, coconut or cold-pressed sunflower oil.
