H. Assumptions in Developing the Product

                        Several  assumptions  underlie  a  multipurpose  assessment  model  development  in

                        blended teaching in argumentative writing.


                           1.  Students' EFL writing skills improve when the assessment processes

                               enable them to identify their strengths and weaknesses.


                           2.  Feedback from self, peers, and teachers is meaningful to students' learning

                               adjustment of EFL writing if it is based on the intended text.


                           3.  The inclusion of formative assessment in text-based instruction ensures the

                               quality process of producing the intended text.

                           4.  Blended learning to argumentative writing instruction give teachers and


                               students interactive feedback.

                           5.  Students'  EFL  argumentative  writing  achievement  reflects  the  students’


                               writing  competencies  when  the  assessment  processes  are  provided  with

                               qualified assessment devices.




                        I.  Definition of Key Terms

                           AaL is assessment as learning to learn.


                           AfL is assessment in support of learning.

                           AoL is assessment as measurement.


                           Argumentative writing is a text type that requires writers to present arguments

                           in favor of a position they take is known as argumentative writing.


                           Blended learning is a combination of in-person classroom instruction and online

                           learning methods.
