Meet
Hello everyone my name is Lucy
Curno and I am the director at Lucy’s
Pawfect Boutique and Spruce up your
Pooch Dog Grooming. I feel privileged
that I have been asked to write for the
K9 Digital News magazine.
First of all I would just like to welcome
myself and tell you all a little bit about
myself and what I do.
I am 18 years old and have many years’
experience in kennels and animal care.
I am a dog groomer that has recently
finished my level 2 dog grooming course
at Writtle College and I live in Essex. I
have 3 dogs who are very cheeky and
naughty and these are called Belle (Flat-
Coated Retriever), Sammy (Bichon Frise),
and Pepsi (Scottie Cross Shih Tzu). Also,
I have 2 rabbits who are called Magic
and Biscuit boy again my rabbits are

cheeky and naughty too. -
Before starting my level 2 dog grooming
course I studied animal care at the
fabulous Writtle College in Essex. I
thoroughly enjoyed my time doing
this course, I learned a lot of useful
and essential skills that I need for the
future. The tutors were amazing and
always put themself out for the students
whenever needed. I got hands-on with
many of the animals at the college and
this college by far is the best out there
for animal care.
I am a real keen lover of dog shows
and compete at many each year
including All About Dogs Shows, Paws
in the Park, and many more. A couple
of years ago I camped at one of the All
About Dog Shows and was lucky enough
to be placed 2nd place with Pepsi at
one of the Scruff’s heats and I was
overwhelmed and was surprised.
I have some exciting news, recently I
have been researching different dog
grooming products that I will be looking
to produce. I have been checking the
different chemicals that go into the
shampoos and the other products and
I can’t wait to bring this very exclusive
range of products out. Also, I will be
producing my range of dog grooming
equipment including brushes, combs,
and scissors. This is currently being
produced and made and I can’t wait to
share this news with everyone.
