ROHTZA
Wash hands and recite the following blessing:
Blessed are You HASHEM our God King of the Universe, Who sanctified us with
His commandments, and commanded us on washing hands.
MOTZI - MATZA
Take all three Matzot (the broken one in between the two full ones)
and recite the following blessing:
Blessed are You HASHEM our God King of the Universe, Who brings forth bread from the earth.
Drop the third (bottom) Matza and recite the following blessing:
Blessed are You HASHEM our God King of the Universe, Who sanctified us with His
commandments, and commanded us on eating Matza.
DIP IN SALT, LEAN LEFT AND EAT AT LEAST ONE KEZAYIT (28 grams) WITHIN 4.5 MINUTES.
It is better, however, to try and eat two kezetim (56 grams). One who forgot to lean, must eat it again.
MAROR
Take a kezayit of Maror and dip it into the Haroset. Shake the Haroset
off the Maror leaving only a bit and recite the following blessing:
Blessed are You HASHEM our God King of the Universe, Who sanctified us with His
commandments, and commanded us on eating Maror.
EAT NORMALLY WITHOUT LEANING.
KORECH
Take a kezayit of Matza from third (bottom) Matza and a kezayit of Maror.
Wrap them together and then dip into the Haroset. Recite the following
paragraph:
Matza and Maror without a blessing, in remembrance of the Temple, in our days it shall be
renewed. Like Hillel the Elder that would wrap them and eat them as one to fulfill what it is
written: “With Matzot and Maror shall you eat it”.
LEAN LEFT AND EAT THE SANDWICH.
One who forgot to lean is recommended to eat it again.
Ladies who forgot to lean for Korech do not have to eat it again.
