                           Summary

This chapter covered the basics of producing output using the Render Scene dialog box. Although render-
ing a scene can take a long time to complete, Max includes many settings that can speed up the process and
helpful tools such as the Rendered Frame Window and the RAM Player.
In this chapter, you accomplished the following:
l Discovering how to control the various render parameters
l Configuring the global rendering preferences
l Switching to a different renderer
l Learning about the command-line rendering interface
l Using the Rendered Frame Window and the RAM Player
l Understanding the different render types
l Exploring the Panoramic Exporter and Print Size Wizard tools
l Using the Environment panel to change the background color and image
The next chapter covers the ability to combine external objects and scenes into the current scene using
Containers and XRefs. Asset tracking with Vault is also covered.
