                Description of the Activity: The Chapter donated books to local schools sponsored by the Beta
                Zeta Book Drive. Members supported the Book Sale at Book Among Friends which helps the
                Durham County Library fund programs, services and materials. Soror Wilma Herndon sponsored
                a "Poetry Out Loud" contest at Hayti Heritage Center. Sorors tutored at after school programs on
                the pre-kindergarten and elementary levels.

                Description of the Activity: Soror Wilma Herndon sponsored the Reading Across PDK program
                to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy. Sixty-eight collegues, friends and family pledge
                signatures were submitted for the event. Sorors participated in MLK celebrations in Durham,
                Raleigh and Henderson.

                Description of the Activity:  Chapter  members  participated  in  mini-training  on  implementing
                zoom cloud meetings, registering for access to ER and National websites, and navigating the
                chapter's facebook page.

                CHILDREN, ADULT & EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION, TOUCH -A-CHILD:

                Description of the Activity: The Chapter donated gift cards, food and clothing to local schools to
                assist students in need. The Chapter donated books to a third grade class and sponsored the
                "Wee Master/Miss Calla Lily" contest for youth six months to four years old. The Beta Zeta
                Chapter sponsored "Touch a Child" by tracking second grade male students with tutoring and
                guidance for their parents.

                PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

                Activity: Sorors completed workshops or training through local districts.

                Sorors participated in the Chapter Retreat focusing on sisterhood relations, planning for the
                sororal year implementing new ideas for activities and honoring recent retirees.
                PUBLIC RELATIONS: Number of Sorors:
                Description of the Activity: Soror Doretta Walker published a quarterly chapter newsletter
                that summarizes chapter events, announcements and accomplishments. Soror Paula Barber
                launched the Beta Zeta Facebook page that posts current chapter events and a picture
                gallery. Beta Zeta sponsored a fish fry at Capital Seafood Market and a yard sale at a local
                church.

                Description of the Activity: Naming of US Distric Court for the Middle District of NC -
                John Hervey Wheeler United States Courthouse. The event was hosted by Congressman
                G. K. Butterfield and included many federal and state legislators and activists to include
                keynote speaker Mr. Vernon E. Jordan, Jr. Chapter members participated in the NCAE
                Teacher March at the State Legislature in Raleigh.
