CONFERENCE THEME: “PUTTING THE PIECES TOGETHER: SISTERHOOD, EDUCATION, & CULTURAL RELEVANCY”

                Children and Adult Benefit/Early Childhood Education, Touch-A-Child:
                Number of Sorors: 18 Number of Participants:  5
                Members of Alpha Chi Chapter chose a "Santa Letter" from children in the HER Shelter.  Each
                soror purchased items listed in the letter, but made sure that some of the items included a book,
                clothing, and a toy. The items were placed in large gift bags and sent to the Shelter for the
                children.  A special item for the mothers at the Shelter was placed in the gift bad also.
                INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIP (SISTERHOOD): Number of Sorors: 18 Others: 0
                Each month the Courtesy Chair and 2nd Anti-Basileus recognize Active and Inactive Sorors that
                have birthdays, anniversaries and special accomplishments.  These Sorors are given cards, gifts,
                and monetary tokens.  Throughout the year, Sorors enjoy bonding and sharing sisterhood
                activities after the meeting, with a repast prepared by the hostesses of the meeting.

                 Description of the Activity: The program began with the Torch Lighting Service that was
                 held during the meeting at the library on Saturday, May 18, 2019.  On Sunday, May 19,
                 2019, we worshiped at the Tidewater Bibleway Kingdom Cathedral in Virginia Beach, VA.
                 After the service, we journeyed to the Golden Corral in Chesapeake, VA for the program
                 entitled :Meet and Greet/The Birth of a Sorority."  Our mission was to simply pay homage,
                 honor, respect, and gratitude to our eight founding members who left us a legacy of concern
                 for our youth, education, and service.
                 Each participant portrayed one of the founding Founders and explained the part she played in
                 the establishing of NSPDK, Inc.

                 Health, Nutrition and Hypertension:    No. of Sorors:    18  Others:
                 Description of the Activity:    Each month Sorors are given information concerning the health
                 issue for that month.  In September it was Sickle Cell, Sorors were given information "what
                 you should know about Sickle Cell.( the causes, the affects by it, and how it is treated.  In
                 October, Sorors were given information about the bring your brave campaign, which
                 discussed Breast Cancer in young women ages 18- 44.  These are women whose family
                 history and background predispose them to a higher risk of breast cancer at a young age.
                 Sorors had a chance to win breast cancer prizes and wear pink ribbons and pins. Also, Sorors
                 wore pink to the meeting.  November was designated as Diabetes Awareness Month.  Sorors
                 were given information which asked them to make healthy changes and reduce the risk of
                 type 2 Diabetes.  Sorors shared personal stories about Diabetes during the meeting.
                 SENIOR TEACHERS/ SECOND CAREERS/ RETIRED SORORS VOLUNTEER
                 PROGRAM (RSVP): Number of Sorors: 20 Others: 150 Description of the Activity: In
                 recognition of world Homeless Day, Soror Marge McDaniel and Anthropos Lee McDaniel
                 participated in a Telethon hosted by the H.O.P.E Foundation to raise funds to assist with
                 caring for the Homeless.  The telethon was live-streamed on facebook by former news anchor
                 Regina Mobley.  Soror McDaniel and her husband are foundation volunteers.  The
                 Foundation is the only summer homeless shelter in the Hampton Roads area, operating  May
                 through November.  Soror McDaniel was able to present a check from Alpha Chi Chapter in
                 the amount of $200 to help with this very worthy cause.

                 Anthropos Lee McDaniel participated in a Telethon hosted by the H.O.P.E Foundation to
