In the Lesson 1 folder, delete the Thursday.rtf file
by doing a Right Click on the file and selecting
Delete. Confirm with Yes. NOTE: if a file is open
or in use, you cannot delete it until it is closed.

5. Select the Lesson 2 folder. Press Delete key on the
keyboard. Confirm with a Yes. The Lesson 2 folder
and all its contents are gone.

6. In the Word Processing Class folder, select the file
Friday.rtf. Click on Delete on Home tab. Confirm the deletion by clicking Yes. The file is now gone.

7. You should still have the Word Processing Class folder, and 2 subfolders—Lesson 1 and Windows
Practice.

8. Click on Word Processing Class folder, create a new folder (Home, New Folder) named Lesson 2.

U. Print Screen - Taking a Picture of the Screen

The Print Screen feature allows you to take a “picture” of the computer screen. It puts a copy of the
image on the Clipboard (part of computer memory), although nothing seems to happen when you press
the Print Screen (Prt Scr) key on the keyboard. The image can then be pasted into documents.

PRINT SCREEN
1. Expand (click the ) the Word Processing Class folder if necessary and make sure all subfolders are

visible on the screen; then do these steps:
2. Click on Windows Practice folder in the Navigation pane, then press the Print Screen key (Prt Scr) on

the keyboard (upper right corner of keyboard). This will put a copy/picture of the screen image on the
Clipboard, although nothing seems to happen.
3. Open WordPad (from taskbar)
4. Type your name on the window, press Enter twice.
5. Give the Paste command
6. Use File, Save As to place the file in Windows Practice folder. Give it the name Organizing Folders.
7. Use File, Print, Print to print a copy of it. You may keep the printed copy.
8. Right click on WordPad icon on Task Bar. Choose Unpin this Program from Taskbar. It is now
removed.
9. Close Wordpad.
