Social Events and Competitions

Back in February, a group from Godalming
went to support the local ice Hockey team,
the Guildford Flames, at a home league
match again Milton Keynes Lightening. As
ever, it was a fast paced game with lots of
action that saw the Guildford Flames claim
a comfortable 5-1 win over their
opponents.

Earlier this year, Jo and Helen joined the South
Downs Bloodhounds at one of the last meets of
the season. The afternoon saw 35 horses and a
pack of bloodhounds chase the quarry (men on
foot) across a number of open fields and jumps.

Fortunately, Storm Gareth held off just long
enough for Jo and Helen to enjoy the ride in the
dry and Helen managed to stay on her horse
despite it having other ideas!

To finish the end of competition season, Helen recently placed
second in a figure skating competition at Guildford Ice rink against a
strong group of competitors and even managed to stay on her feet!
