N
ewsletter
This edition of In-Situ welcomes our new staff and returning staff,
celebrates birthdays, a wedding, a new baby, competition winners
with a sprinkle of CGL tness/wellness and a new article, suggested
by Sarah M, a pet prole, so I think we have all areas covered!
We will of course have news from the CGL ofces and a review and
photos of the Team Day and social events.
As always, if you have any suggested articles or info for the next edition let me know.
Happy reading! Katie
Welcome to all our New Starters and Returners
Mark Rowney joined us back in February. Mark’s heading up the Bristol satellite ofce, well not really an ofce more
of a broom cupboard! But this is soon to change with a move to a bigger and brighter ofce.
Harrogate have a few new team members including, Edward Lowe , Ed was originally from Derbyshire but has
decided to settle back up north after three years based in leafy Surrey. As a keen hill walker and runner (he’s even
managed the Paris marathon!) he’s joined the CGL Strava club, but the two Richards are still hogging top of the
leader board with Tom H not far behind.
Jack Andrews joins the Harrogate team as a Graduate Engineer. Jack enjoys fell walking and plays the guitar so the
CGL band (did that ever happen?) has another potential member.
Charlotte Woodhall-Jones and Fiona Cartwright have both re-joined the team as part time Consultants, Fiona as a
Marketing Consultant and Charlotte as a Principal Engineer, having previously been with CGL back in 2002 as an
Engineer at our Leeds ofce.
Lauren Hoare has joined the Godalming team and is settling in well, in Lauren’s own words:
“Hi Everyone, I'm Lauren, it's very cool to meet you all!! (If we haven't met yet I'm sure we will soon.)
A little bit about me - I'm quite shy and quiet to begin with but once I've settled in my character will suddenly
appear out of nowhere! I'm a theatre girl at heart, so I apologies if you catch me singing. I also like to think I'm
very funny, but I will admit my jokes are terrible! But if I'm able to make you laugh – that's all that counts!
I'm also very into my fashion and going on adventures so I'm currently creating my own blog which is in working
progress at the moment. Before I babble on too much, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and becoming
a part of the CGL team.”
Also new to the Godalming team are Hal Godwin a Senior Engineer and Will Newton, Graduate Engineer and
returning to Godalming is Charles Hooper as a Work Placement Engineer.
Sarah Baker joins the Exeter Team for six weeks to help see them through a very busy period. Sarah has a PhD from
Exeter and is a very welcome edition to the team as well as being Amir’s better half.
Last, but not least, a warm welcome to Maria Dimitriadi who joined the London team this week as a Chartered
Senior Engineer.
