ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS

● All works must be approved by Jacobs

Appointed Person and relevant Jacobs
management.

● A Safe System of work must be approved by
Jacobs Safety Dept.

● A Permit-to-Work on Electrical Systems is
required, authorised and approved by

Jacobs management;

● All work must be suitably planned and the
task coordinated with relevant parties;

● Jacobs will communicate the location of live
services. Always assume ALL services are

live.

● Check notice boards, attend pre-starts and

check for any communications issued by
Jacobs for the location of live services;

● Communicate with other STS supervisors to
ensure every person involved iin the task is

aware of the status of electrical services;

● Electrical systems must be isolated and

locked off. REFER TO JACOBS LOTO
REQUIREMENTS;

● The Authorised Person and LOTO
Coordinator must verify the correct energy

system has ZERO energy and isolated
before working on the system;

● Provide and use suitable insulated matting;

● Use calibrated an certified electrical testing
equipment;

● No jewelry or drinks allowed in electrical
rooms;
