Fall factors

                 • When possible, the worker should

always use an anchorage point at
                      shoulder level or above.
                 • A higher anchor point will reduce the fall
                      distance and therefore significantly

reduce the risk of injury on the body due
to impact forces of a fall.
        3. Working at Height
                 • Before any work where you are required
to use work at height equipment, ensure
you have a working at height plan where
                      all risks are assessed.

                 • All work at height requires a rescue plan.
This plan and equipment required, must
be in place before works commence.

                 • Ensure there are no services or
structures likely to impede correct use of
your fall protection when choosing your
                      anchor point.

                 • Ensure you have the right working at
height equipment for the job. Know the
                      difference between restraint and fall
                      arrest.
