Anchor points and connectors

                 • An anchor point is a secure tie off point

for your harness connector. This point
must be able to hold between 1 -2 ton.
Using a temporary structure as an
anchor point must be approved by HSE.
                 • An anchor connector is the attachment

used to join the fall arrest equipment to
        3. Working at Height
                      the anchor point.

                 • You must have these two vital pieces
                      (anchor point + anchor connector)
correct to ensure safe and effective fall
                      arrest equipment.

                 • Never choke your safety line around an
                      anchor point.

                 • If your connector does not fit to an
anchorage point use a certified sling
around your anchor point and connect to
                      your sling.

                 • Ensure there are no services or
structures likely to impede correct use of
your fall protection when choosing your
                      anchor point.
