Harness use
• All operatives using a harness must have fall
arrest and work at height training.
• Visually inspect your harness for any damage
or defects before each use.
• Your harness must be fitted correctly to your
body at all times. A one size harness does not

• The D-ring should be located between your
shoulder blades.
• Your harness should be snugly fitted and not
loose. Your harness should allow full range of
movement. A flat palm should slide
comfortable between your leg strap and your
leg. Connect your chest strap after connecting
your leg straps.
• A harness fitted too loose can cause
significant injuries to your body in a fall
impact.
