Harness use

                 • All operatives using a harness must have fall

arrest and work at height training.

                 • Visually inspect your harness for any damage
                      or defects before each use.

                 • Your harness must be fitted correctly to your

body at all times. A one size harness does not
        3. Working at Height
fit all. Make sure you have the right size

                      harness.

                 • The D-ring should be located between your
                      shoulder blades.

                 • Your harness should be snugly fitted and not

loose. Your harness should allow full range of
movement. A flat palm should slide

comfortable between your leg strap and your
leg. Connect your chest strap after connecting
                      your leg straps.

                 • A harness fitted too loose can cause

significant injuries to your body in a fall
                      impact.
