Mobile towers

                 • All mobile scaffold/alloy towers must be erected by trained
CSCS personnel and follow the Manufacturers Instruction
Manual when building, using & dismantling these towers
                 • All scaffolds must be green tagged safe to use before accessing.

                 • All alloy towers must be visually inspected before each use and
a recorded weekly inspection using a GA3 form performed.
                 • All platforms must have double handrail protection that meet’s
        3. Working at Height
regulatory requirements with toe boards and the trap door must
remain closed when working on the platform.
                 • No “surfing” on mobile towers or moving the tower with
                      personnel on the platform.

                 • Always ensure your wheel brakes are in place when working on
                      the tower.
                 • Ensure your tower is level and never use the caster wheels to
gain extra height on the tower. These are to be used for leveling
                      the mobile tower only.
                 • Ensure the tower is erected on a stable surface.

                 • Be aware of, and stick to, the safe use limitations of the tower.
They do not hold as much weight as conventional steel scaffolds
and have lesser wind speed safe use levels
                 • Install the stabilisers where possible. The larger the footprint of
your tower, the more stable and safe it will be.
                 • Additional security to structure may be required in external
                      areas.

                 • Remember to use the Toe-Boards at all times, even on low level,
                      one piece zip-up type platforms
