Scaffold

                 • All scaffolds must be fit for purpose.

                 • Check that the scaffold is green tagged and weekly
                      inspection in date.

                 • All access points must have a swing gate fitted at entry to
platform (side entry platforms). Where this is not possible
additional precautions are required and must be

assessed by the scaffold contractor as being sufficient to
        3. Working at Height
                      allow safe access and egress.
                 • Scaffolds with hand rails removed for operational reasons

must have clear signage stating 100% tie-off by all users
and a suitable and sufficient anchor point available at all
times. These are subject to an approved SOP and a
special access to height permit approved by Jacobs HSE.

                 • Report any obvious defects to the scaffolders straight
                      away
                 • Never tamper with any scaffold components, it is a legal

                      offence to do so.

                 • If you need an adjustment to the scaffold, contact the
                      scaffolder to do so.
                 • Never remove a scaffold tag, if a scaffold is unsafe fold

the tag in half and leave it in the tag holder. Then contact
the scaffolder to make scaffold safe.
