Scaffold
• All scaffolds must be fit for purpose.
• Check that the scaffold is green tagged and weekly
inspection in date.
• All access points must have a swing gate fitted at entry to
platform (side entry platforms). Where this is not possible

times. These are subject to an approved SOP and a
special access to height permit approved by Jacobs HSE.
• Report any obvious defects to the scaffolders straight
away
• Never tamper with any scaffold components, it is a legal
offence to do so.
• If you need an adjustment to the scaffold, contact the
scaffolder to do so.
• Never remove a scaffold tag, if a scaffold is unsafe fold
the tag in half and leave it in the tag holder. Then contact
the scaffolder to make scaffold safe.
