Pressure testing




                •     All pressure testing equipment shall  have
                      certified gauges fitted and should be in good
                      working order.

                •     All pressure testing equipment shall have
                      certified  pressure relief valves fitted.
                •     No pressure testing shall be carried out without
                      the appropriate risk assessment carried out and
                      approved by Jacobs mechanical CS and HSE.
                •     Pressure testing shall only be carried out by
                      authorized personnel i.e. specific test crew.
        8. Testing    from the agreed exclusion zone while
                •
                      All unauthorized personnel shall be removed
                      pipe/system is under pressure. This zone will be
                      decided as part of the risk assessment and may
                      require out of hours works.
                •
                      Hard barriers and signage at 5m intervals shall
                      be in place to ensure personnel are kept away
                      from the danger area.
                •     Pressure test rigs shall be located so they do not
                      cause other hazards to personnel.

                •     Barriers, signage and testing equipment should
                      be removed from the area once test is complete.
                •     Relevant P&ID must be available, used &
                      understood during pressure test walk.

                •     Inline equipment may need to be removed for the
                      test.
