Transporting gas cylinders
• All gas cylinders must be secured when
transporting on site.
7.Lifting and Transporting Operations
• Gas cylinders must be transported on a
suitable wheeled trolley and chained to the
trolley to prevent sudden movement or risk of
cylinder falling from the trolley. Never roll
them on the rim.
• Check cylinder before use for any damage to
the cylinder and that all components are
intact.
• Never leave gas cylinders on trolleys in
congested areas or areas where there is
heavy moving traffic.
• Remove any empty gas cylinders from site.
• Treat empty cylinders the same as full.
