                         Good news, bahambauan


                         Good news urges

                         Bad news scatters
                  It  means  that  in  holding  an  event  or  banquet,  it  is

           recommended to invite people to come. This means people will not
           just  come  uninvited.  And  vice  versa  if  you  hear  bad  news,  for

           example about death or illness, everyone is obliged to come visit.

                  The most important of the literary forms in adat is "pantun".

           It appears very much both in kaba, speech etc. With a rhyme a
           speech will be beautiful and alive, a kaba will feel more flowery if

           it is decorated with a rhyme.
                  According to etymology, the poem comes from pa - tuntun

           which means guide. Changes such as the above are very common
           in the Minang language as in the following words:

                  Men become men.

                  Grass becomes grass
                  According to AA Navis:

                         Pantun consists of several lines in an even number

                  of two, four, six to twelve lines. Each line consists of four
                  words with the same ending rhythm. Half of the starting
