Yang Liwei: A Hero in My Heart

Yang Liwei, a national hero and the first Chinese astronaut

to travel in space, holds a special place in my heart.

Born in 1965 into a poor family in Liaoning province, Yang

Liwei rose to stardom in China's space exploration program,

leading the country's manned spaceflight program and paving

the way for future space missions. In 2003, he made a historic

journey into space, becoming the first Chinese to orbit the Earth.
