Transfer of Technology (ToT):

Data Science Training

PUTRAJAYA, 4 October 2021 - Transfer of Technology (ToT): Data Science Training was
scheduled from 4 October 2021 to 28 February 2023 involving Immigration Department of
Malaysia (JIM) and the NIISe Project Team. SAS which is the technology provider for NIISe
Project has conducted the Technology Transfer Training: Data Science for Business Users from 4
to 8 October 2021 and SAS® Certified Data Scientist Technology Transfer Training beginning from
8 October 2021 until 25 February 2022.

The objective of this training is to provide knowledge and skills to JIM officers to perform key
tasks related to data by using the ability of Point and Click SAS Analytic.

DATA SCIENCE?

Data science is an in-depth study on the vast volume of data that entails extraction of
usable information from raw, structured and unstructured data processed using
scientific methods, different technologies and algorithms.
