Can you share some insights into your journey from an L3 to an L4?

Knowing my own strengths and weaknesses gave me a better understanding of myself and how I function in L3 role. I
was mostly focusing more on my strengths. I quickly figured out what I needed to understand and what leadership
values my role as L3 investigator. I invested time on tasks and opportunities that fuel both my short and long term
goals. Upskilling in short period of time was so helpful to improve my skills and perform in a better way. When I
R decided to apply for the role, it was because I like deep diving, thinking out of the box and getting more responsibilities.
H I realised that getting more responsibilities was something I was going to get really good at. I knew I would have to add
     L
more work, growth, and learning to an already full plate but I wanted to accomplish more in my role. I worked
A continuously to improve, needed to embrace the change every day and decided that moving to the next level is really
R about achieving a new level of ownership, maturity and ability.

What skills did you derive from your assignments?

I believe in two main types of skills that make up our skill set; soft skills and hard skills. Soft skills are interpersonal
skills and other personality traits that allow us to communicate and work with others and hard skills are capabilities we
use to perform a task related to a specific job. For my assignments I used adaptability, multitasking, decision making,
self-motivation, time management also improved skills such as problem-solving, paying more attention to details.

What will you tell the aspiring L3s to work on? Kaya, Serkan (kayserka@) LHR

We all work hard and we all do a good job and in my opinion a promotion should be a reward, not a goal. Believe in
yourself, your promotion will be a win-win for you and Amazon. Last but not least, be so good they can't ignore you.

Can you share some insights into your journey from an L3 to an L4?

What roles and opportunities helped you grow and what were your key learning's? I discovered that what
really made my work stand out was looking for ways to improve my team’s performance, discovering and
implementing tools and actions to make our work easier, more accurate and precise. Helping my peers by
performing audits and conducting meetings, training's and other similar processes has given me the best
opportunities to identify areas of improvement in others and myself, and it has motivated me further to keep R
my mind sent in consistent improvement A

What skills did you derive from your assignments? J
                                                                                                                       S
                                                                                                                       O
My time at Amazon and the different tasks I have been given help me understand just how important our
leadership principles are. Putting these principles into action means we understand what our role is and how
it relates to Amazon as a whole, and they guide our actions when dealing with customers, when working with
areas of improvement and boosting our strengths.
