A: Good day sir; how may I help you?
B: I bought 10 boxes of perfume and I want to bring them with me to Seoul. What requirements
do I need to accomplish?
A: Please fi ll out this form and attach the offi cial receipt as proof of purchase of the items then
proceed to counter 5 for validation. Please do not forget to present two valid IDs.
B: I only have my driver’s license here. Would my passport be acceptable?
A: Yes, of course sir, you have nothing to worry about.
C: Good day sir. May I see your documents please? Please standby at the waiting area. I will just
call your name once everything has been validated.
B: Thank you.
(Calling the attention of Mr. Kim, please proceed to counter number 5)
C: Thank you for waiting Mr. Kim. Your request has been processed and the total amount due is
$ 35. Please proceed to cashier 6 for payment and clearance.
B: Thank you very much.
C: You are welcome. Have a nice day sir.

1. What is the worst experience you had with the customs?

So far, I have never had any horrible experience with the customs. However, I find it annoying that you have to go through all the processes

just to get a clearance from them.

2. Would you still want to purchase a luxury gift for your family even if you have to pay a considerable amount
to the customs?

Of course, I would still purchase a luxury gift for my family even if it would entail additional charges. No amount of money could replace the
happiness of my family.

3. How was your first customs experience?
Sample answer:

My first customs’ experience was a surprise. I found it difficult to go through the whole process of getting the clearance. In any case, it is just a
matter of getting used to it so now it is a non-issue for me.
