A call back is really nothing to sneeze at.
Marce: Good afternoon! May I speak to Joyce please?
Joyce: Yes, this is Joyce. Who is this please?
Marce: Joyce, this is Marce. I heard from Ken that you called this morning.
Joyce: Yes, I did. We have something urgent to discuss.
Marce: Is that so? I had a meeting that’s why I didn’t get to return your call earlier.
Joyce: I understand. I’m glad that you called as soon as you can.
Marce: So, what is it about?
Joyce: The Director would like the presentation of the new sales strategy needs done sooner.
Marce: Why is that? How soon will we have to present it?
Joyce: The Director is going on an urgent business trip. He wants the presentation moved earlier.
The presentation date can’t be postponed because that would delay the implementation phase.
Marce: I understand. When is the new date for the presentation?
Joyce: It will be on October 4. That will be next Thursday.
Marce: That’s less than a week away and I still have a lot to prepare for my part. Well, it’s a good
thing we found out early. We can make it our priority.
Joyce: That’s right! I have to put everything else on hold. We might actually have to pull all-night-
ers to finish this on time.
Marce: You’re right! It’s a good thing I called back as soon as I did. It would be terrible if I
didn’t find out until later.
Joyce: Well, a call back is really nothing to sneeze at.
