How would I write a proper business

               proposal?

Ana: Have you read the business proposal that Katie drafted?
Bill: Yes, I have. I don’t think she was able to write it properly.
Ana: The ideas are all jumbled up and some of the paragraphs are irrelevant.
Bill: You’re right. We need to teach her to write a proper business proposal.
Ana: Yes, I didn’t understand half of what she wrote.
Bill: I think it’s mainly because she was not able to arrange her ideas accordingly.
Ana: That’s exactly the reason why I did not understand the concepts she introduced.
Bill: The unnecessary paragraphs may have confused you as well. She needs to make sure that
the proposal has a unifying concept. I can help her with that.
Ana: Alright, how do you intend to do such?
Bill: We can create an outline for the proposal and then I can help her revise her proposal so the
contents will all be relevant, concise and arranged properly.
Ana: Well, that’s very nice of you! Thank you for volunteering Bill.
               Bill: No problem!
Ana: Let me know how it goes. Katie is a bright girl; she just needs a little bit of direction with
                  regards to her proposal.
Bill: I would have to agree on that, Madam. No questions about it.

               1. How would you start writing a business proposal?

                  Sample answer:
I would start making an outline. It’s very important that the ideas are presented for the
reader in the appropriate order, so that the reader can fully understand the concepts
of the proposal. Keep the start simple and avoid too many details.

               2. How can you make sure the proposal you wrote is concise?

                  Sample answer:
Using the outline as a guide, I would remove any unnecessary ideas from the text. Do-
ing this would ensure that the proposal is direct to the point.
