disadvantages of each. Then, I organized this information in order to make a detailed
                  report.

               3. How do you think information can be organized effectively?

                  Sample answer:
First, I think the over-all content should be clear. Then, the main points to be discussed
should be identified along with the supporting ideas for these points. Finally, the
ideas should be arranged in a logical manner.

               1. Your company is very eager to cut a deal. You are asked to write a proposal
for a new client. How would you make a typical business proposal?

                  Sample answer:
I would gather the necessary information and try to organize them as follows. First, I’ll
include an executive summary, introducing our company, our services, and the ben-
efits of working with our company. Then, I’ll give a detailed description of the product
or service depending on what the customer prefers. A management plan describing
the organization and supervision of work to be performed will follow. Allotment of
resources and a schedule of pertinent events will also be included. Finally, I will cite
relevant experiences which will make the company suitable for the account. I’ll just
make sure that everything that I’ll be writing and including in my proposal would ab-
solutely catch the attention of my new client.

               2. A friend has been thinking of opening a new coffee shop in his hometown.
He asks you to help him prepare a plan for this new venture.

                  Sample answer:
You can start with a general description of the shop, along with the objectives that
you have in opening the shop. You need to specify what kind of shop you plan to have.
Then, you could include a budget and how you plan to allot this to various expenses
such as rent, electricity and the like. You should also include a schedule for major
events and deadlines. A flow chart could also help you, so you would know the people
you’ll work with on this new coffee shop. You have to set what motif you would like
and how would you like people to perceive your shop. Allowing more room for privacy
and relaxation would be a better choice for your coffee shop. You have to think of the
mood that you would like to build in your shop so people would come more often.
The food, drinks and of course the several kinds of coffee and creamery should be
well researched and documented. Fun should never be forgotten to keep customers
coming as well. Provide appropriate lighting and music plus the right furniture, chairs,
                  dining and kitchen utensils.
