DMTC Student Heads to Race in Italy
Junior Cade Henderson, a DMTC Machine Tool
and Carpentry student, recently participated
in the International Six Day Enduro Motorcycle
Race in Italy. He was the 2nd youngest person
to represent the United States in this race,
which ran six consecutive days from Aug. 30-
Sept. 4 in Lombardy-Piedmont, Italy. He re-
ceived a gold medal for finishing in the top ten
percent of his class competing against partici-
pants from 31 different countries. Cade ex-
plained how his DMTC courses have helped
him with his hobby. He says that his DMTC
Machine Tool class has helped him learn how to fix broken parts or even make parts
needed for his motorcycle, and his Carpentry class has helped him learn to work
with his hands and tools in general. We are proud to have Cade as a DMTC student
and for this great accomplishment!
DMTC Holds Fall Advisory Meeting
Daniel Morgan Technology Center would like
to thank our community partners for joining us
at our annual Fall Advisory Meeting on Sep-
tember 28, 2021. After having virtual
meetings last year, it was great to have mem-
bers back in the classrooms to meet this year
in person. The purpose of this meeting is to
allow people in the workforce to make sugges-
tions regarding CTE curriculum, equipment,
and industry trends. Daniel Morgan Technolo-
gy Center instructors and administration rely heavily on our members’ expertise to
guide instruction in order to provide our DMTC students the most rigorous and rel-
evant education possible.
