Student Uses His Graphic Skills at WBL Experience
Broome High School senior Gene Taylor is participating in a
DMTC work-based learning co-op with RSN Promotions/
Spartan Custom, which provides quality screen printing and
embroidery along with a vast variety of promotional items and
sporting goods. He is pictured packing screen printed sweat-
shirts that he produced. Gene will be a completer in Graphic
Communications when he graduates in May 2022 and plans to
work fulltime in a graphic communications position.
Culinary Completer Participates in a Sweet WBL Experience
Broome High School senior Hannah Sprouse is participating
in a DMTC work-based learning co-op with Sugah Cakes, a
local bakery which started in the owner’s home in 2010. It is
now a brick and mortar store on East Main Street, which
offers a variety of sweet treats such as cakes, cupcakes, and
cookies. Hannah is pictured frosting a tray of cupcakes, one
of her daily tasks. Hannah is a completer in the Culinary Arts
Program at DMTC and plans to attend college after gradua-
tion.
Automotive Student Receives Scholarship
Congratulations to Zach Beers who received the South Carolina Automobile Dealers
Association Scholarship for Automotive Excellence. Zach was nominated by his
DMTC Automotive Technology instructor, Mr. Jeff Gibson, for
the SCADA Scholarship during the 2020-2021 school year. He is
a DMTC Automotive completer and Broome High School 2021
graduate. He currently attends Spartanburg Community College
pursuing a degree in Automotive Technology and is on a co-op
at Vic Bailey Ford. Zach was the first DMTC student selected to
participate in in the Vic Bailey Ford Asset program while still in
high school. Great job, Zach!
