Today’s US Hispanic population totals 62.1 million people and makes up 18.7% of the
US population, up 23% from 2010.

Contributed 51.1% of the total US growth between 2010 and 2020.
 This pace of growth outpaces the nation’s growth rate.

Hispanics are the youngest racial/ethnic group
 30.2% of Hispanics are under the age of 18. The median age is 30.

Growth came predominantly from young Hispanics, but was observed across all
age groups

 Hispanics make up 25.7% of the population 18 and under, up from 23.1% in
2010.

Hispanics are an ethnic group, encompassing multiple races
