The National President called upon the Chairman of the Honor Awards Committee, Brother Merlen F. Howe,
PNP, to announce this year’s nomination for the Legion of Honor recipient. Brother James Robert McConnell,
PNP, was duly elected and endorsed by the delegates to receive the highest honor in National Sojourners;
however, since he was unable to attend the ANC his Chapter (Fort Sam Houston 17) made the presentation.

The National Sojourners 2022-2023 Budget was presented by Brother William G.L. Turner at the ANC and
subsequently approved by the delegates. (Reference page 12)

The convention was recessed and then reconvened for the President’s Banquet where the following activities
ensued after dinner:

With the completion of business and festivities, the 102 Annual National Convention was closed following
the Chaplain’s benediction.
