WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT
The dream of a “National Home” for our Order has been a long-term pursuit and
vision. In keeping with that vision, early Sojourner pioneers (Brothers LaVon Linn,

Clinton Phillips, and Archibald Lyon) purchased the 11-acre parcel along the
Potomac River known as Collingwood in 1976. Collingwood survived as our
“National Home” until 2015 when the property was sold due to financial issues. The
sale of Collingwood led to the scramble to find a suitable location for temporary
office space until a more suitable location could be found. That temporary location
is our current space at Cluny Court in Springfield, VA, where the lease will end in
June of 2025. That brings us to an initiative to find that more suitable location,
acquire the funds, and relocate there concurrent with the end of our current lease.

The initiative is entitled “NEW HORIZONS.”

A MESSAGE FROM OUR NATIONAL PRESIDENT

While the campaign offers higher donation levels --- SUSTAINER at $30 per month
and PLANK OWNER at $50 per month --- the BACKBONE of the campaign is the
PENTA CLUB!!! Each of us giving a small amount over 5 years.

If you have not joined the campaign, I urge that you consider becoming a member
of the PENTA CLUB with a total 5-year gift of $130 or annual gift for 5 years of $24 in
2024, $25 in 2025, $26 in 2026, $27 in 2027, and $28 in 2028. Make your
donation and obtain a PENTA CLUB lapel pin from your Chapter Secretary.

We can do this if ALL of us play a tiny part in underwriting our goal.
