CHAPTER NEWS
CAMP LEJEUNE CHAPTER NO. 329, (Denny Norris, Secretary).
Camp Lejeune Chapter No. 329 held its 36th Annual Blue Lodge Night on Monday, 5 February 2024, at the
York Rite Temple in New Bern, North Carolina under the direction of First Vice President Winston
McMillian. The catered dinner and program were well attended by Masters and Wardens from Blue Lodges
comprising the 4th and 7th Masonic Districts of the Grand Lodge of North Carolina. All Ladies attending were
presented a rose. The chapter was also honored by the attendance of the Grand Master, Most Worshipful
Brother Donald E. Kehler, and the Sovereign Grand Inspector General of North Carolina, Ill. A. Gene Cobb,
Jr., 33° both of whom are National Sojourners.
The successful Bridge of Light program included a
special recognition of all Veterans attending, a Service to
the Craft presentation by Brother Past National President
Sanders (LOH and VDA), and patriotic remarks by the
Grand Master. The Service to the Craft presentation
focused on how National Sojourners can support Blue
Lodges through an array of patriotic programs, as well as
the Masonic partnership required to Teach young
Americans what it means to be an American through our
Youth Leadership Programs, with an emphasis on
providing opportunities for our Masonic youth. The
Chapter was pleased to present the Grand Master a copy
of the Toast to the Flag poster signed by all in attendance
(see picture below) and concluded the evening with The (L-r) MWB Donald E. Kehler, Bro PNP Harry Sanders,
American’s Creed and the singing of God Bless America. Bro PNP Denny Norris
Following the event a group photo (shown below) was
taken. Key chapter members contributing to the success of the program included Brother Tino Faustino who
rendered a most moving Toast to the Flag; Ill Brother Bobby Meadows who coordinated dinner arrangements;
Brother Denny Norris (PNP) who coordinated registration; and Brother Warren Taylor (York Rite Facility
Manager). Special thanks also to Brother Wayne Lytton, DDGL 4th District, who served as the photographer
for the event. Chapter Officers participating also included Brother Third Vice President Bob Mull --- Chapter
President, Brother Glen Carpenter was recovering from COVID. It was a wonderful evening for National
Sojourners as we continued our focus on Proudly Serving the Cause of Patriotism!
