TITLE DEFINITION OF TERMS SUSPENDED OR SUSPENSION
The National Constitution and Bylaws notes that a Chapter may be suspended for a
number of violations, and
WHEREAS
The National Constitution and Bylaws do not define what the terms "suspended", or
"suspension" means,
Add to Article V, Section 9 of the National Bylaws the following paragraph:
h. A Chapter suspended or placed in suspension after notification by the National
Headquarters, will surrender its Chapter and Camp Charters to the Area or Regional
Representative and will cease all operations of the Chapter and Camp. National
Headquarters will notify the Chapter Revitalization and Chartering Committee
(CRCC) of the suspension. The Chapter may meet for the purposes of determining
corrective action but may not hold meetings in accordance with the Order of
THEREFORE, Ceremonies, may not initiate members, may not hold Bridge of Light or Americanism
BE IT programs nor represent National Sojourners at JROTC or ROTC awards ceremonies.
RESOLVED Meetings of the Chapter in suspension will not be held without the AR or RR present.
The Chapter may not resume labors until the AR RR and CR&CC confirm to the
National President through the National Headquarters that the Chapter has completed
all required corrective actions. If the Chapter cannot complete all corrective actions
within a 12-month period, it will be placed in In Memorium status. Waivers for
required actions may be granted upon appeal to the National President.
