TITLE Replacement of National Trustees

The National Constitution and Bylaws of National Sojourners, Inc. is silent on how
vacancies among the National Trustees are filled, and
Article IV, Section 14 of the National Bylaws states, “Each Trustee may serve a total
of three (3), full, three (3)-year terms plus any initial, unexpired portion of a term
WHEREAS filled by election or appointment.”, therefore inferring that a vacancy may be filled by
election or appointment, but does not say how or by whom, and
Unexpected vacancies among the National Trustees may occur at any time due to
resignation, death, illness or other emergent situations,
That Article VI, Section 14 be modified by adding a new Subsection 14.c which
would state:
THEREFORE, c. Vacancies: Vacancies among the National Trustees will be filled by the
BE IT appointment of a qualified member of National Sojourners by the National President.
RESOLVED The appointee will serve until the election of National Trustees at the next immediate
National Convention when he may be elected to complete the term vacated.
