TITLE DUAL STATUS ARTICLE VI, Section 21h, i, j, n and o
Past National presidents, Past National Commanders HEROS of 76 and Emeritus
Sojourners are ex-officio members of all National-Level Committees and hold life
tenure as National Officers.
10 National offices are reserved for Past National Presidents only, with 2 reserved
for Past National Commanders only with an additional 5 on the Heroes Ritual com-
WHEREAS mittee for Past National Commanders only.
For Past National Presidents and Past National Commanders to hold multiple
positions only takes away from new members to advance in Leadership positions
and advance the National Sojourners, and to allow our Organization to advance with
new ideas.
That the following actions be taken.
h. National Historian: Remove the word (and one (1) other) from line 2. Change to
read; Serves as National historian, as a member of the National Executive Committee,
and may only serve only on one elective or appointive Body.
i. Judicial Commission: Remove the words, Two (2) Commissioners may be
National Trustees from line 2. and the complete last sentence. Change to Read:
Judicial Commission: Commissioners must not be Trustees, National Line Officers or
Committee of 33 members. Each Commissioner, if qualified, may also serve on the
Honor Awards Committee or the Sojourner Ritual Committee.
j . National Trustees: Remove the first sentence to include the words "The other

BE IT seven (7)". Add the words "if qualified" after Trustee on second line. Change to
RESOLVED Read: Trustees, if qualified, 'may serve on the Honor Awards Committee or the
Sojourner Ritual Committee. No Trustee may serve on more than one elective Body.
National Trustees may not serve on the committee of 33 or in the National Line .
o. Past National Presidents: Remove the Words "two (2) elective or appointive
Bodies" and add the words "only" and "Ad-Hoc Committee assigned be the National
President".
Change to Read: Having served in the highest and most demanding position in the
order, may only serve as an active National officer in which qualified for any Ad-Hoc
committee assigned by the National President.
