FROM THE RAFINO PRESIDENT
Hello Finance Corps- Well after four long years, the long a waited RAFINO
reunion is upon us. All of our planning has come to fruition and the reunion will
be held 5-9 October in Indianapolis, Indiana. This year we are all looking forward
to going back to Fort Benjamin Harrison which prior to 1995 was the “Home of
the Army Dollar”. While the Finance Corps Headquarters is now moved to Fort
Jackson, for many members of us in RAFINO this will be a homecoming.
Unfortunately, this will be my last entry for the Diamond Points magazine as
the President of RAFINO. Both myself and Vice President Christine Brosius
will be giving up our positions after the reunion. For both of us It has been LTC (R) McKenna
a privilege and an honor to have held these positions and represent the retired Officers and Non-
Commissioned Officers of the Finance Corps for the past two years. I look forward to the day when
one of you young folks currently on active duty who are looking to retire step up and lead this
outstanding organization. Although I am leaving the presidency, I am still looking forward to many
years being a LIFE member of RAFINO.
We in RAFINO are always looking for new members in the organization. Those of you who are
retiring, and have more than 20 years in service RAFINO is looking for you to join us. During your
time in the Finance Corps, you have garnered many mentors and friends who are RAFINO
members. No matter the component you served in (Active Duty, Reserve or National Guard) plan
on joining your fellow retires for the reunion next year in Indianapolis. I would recommend to
anyone in the Finance Corps who is planning to retire from the Service and is looking for old
friends and contacts to visit the RAFINO website at www.RAFINO.org to get additional information
about who RAFINO is.
