FROM THE FCA PRESIDENT
Greetings, Finance Corps Association Members! As we end the third quarter
of 2022, I pray that everyone had a fun and safe summer. Hopefully, you
capitalized on the opportunities to travel, spend time with family, and relax a
little. For the rest of the year, please continue to remain safe and have
fun! Your Finance Corps Association volunteers begin ramping up during
the fourth quarter with planning and preparation for an exciting Finance
Corps & Regimental Ball in 2023!
Should everything align, we plan to have the Finance Corps Regimental Ball
on May 19, 2023, pending the Commandant’s and my concurrence. Your team
of volunteers will always have a contingency plan if we can’t conduct the CSM (R) Morrissette
Ball.
Ball. If we can’t have the Ball, the FCA and the Schoolhouse will execute our third Virtual FCA
Awareness Week as an alternative to not having the Ball. Although we would much rather gather in
person, we will analyze all courses of action and place safety first. The Commandant and I will make
the call in early January 2023, so stay tuned to the FCA Facebook page.
The following are planned FCA dates and events for Regimental week 2023 (contingent upon the
status of Covid -19).
(1) May 17, 2023: Finance Corps Regimental Week Kick, Icebreaker, and Annual Membership
Drive. Location – Fort Jackson NCO Club
(2) May 18, 2023: Finance Social Jam. Location – American Legion Columbia, SC.
(3) May 19, 2023: Finance Corps Association annual member’s breakfast – Fort Jackson NCO
Club
(4) May 19, 2023: Finance Corps and Regimental Ball. Location – Marriott Hotel, Downtown
Columbia, SC.
(5) May 20, 2023: Famous Annual Finance Corps Regimental Cookout. (Located to be
determined)
For correspondences to remain seamless, all members must keep their contact information up to
date. Some time ago, I sent out an email requesting that you (every member) change your .mil
email address to your commercial email. Since many of you still need to complete this action, I ask
that while you update your email address, please take a minute to update your mailing
address. Soon, we will send a hard copy of the Diamond Points (annually) and would like each
member to receive it. We want to proactively ensure no Diamond Points are returned due to
incorrect mailing addresses. Printing and publishing hard copies are costly, and we want to be
thoughtful with our funding. Thanks in advance for making these changes.
We are still seeking motivated and innovative Officers and Noncommissioned Officers to join the
association – and volunteer! Do you know anyone fitting this description? Any ideas on how and
where we can find them? If so, guide them to our website and have them join
(https://fincorps.org/). If you have ideas to improve the FCA, please don’t hesitate to contact me or
any of the FCA elected officers at https://fincorps.org/. If you would like to volunteer to help the
FCA continue to move forward, grow our membership, and create value for all members, email our
Chief of Staff at ericzellars@yahoo.com (with a Subject Line: “FCA Volunteer”). There is plenty of
work to be done and room at the table, so come and join the team.
