MEET THE NEW U.S. ARMY FM&C SERGEANT MAJOR (CONT’D)
Finance Corps Association Introduction

Greetings, FCA teammates and members. It is an honor to serve alongside our Soldiers, officers, and
civilians as the second U.S. Army Financial Management and Comptroller Sergeant Major. I am
aggressively learning the ASA (FM&C) organization and the considerable span of authorities and
responsibilities that the Honorable Ms. Spangler administers. I want to thank LTG Chamberlain for his
confidence and selection to serve as his senior enlisted advisor.
My immediate attention is focused on the health and strength of our Corps. We are in a time of change
with our structure transition, and I look forward to working with the Finance and Comptroller School
Command Sergeants Major/Command Sergeant Major of the Corps, the USAFMCOM Command
Sergeant Major, nominative and Finance Sergeants Major to communicate, shape, and develop our
workforce to adjust to the upcoming changes. While change is never easy, we will identify friction
points and work to resolve them.

I will be engaging our senior officers and civilians to understand, reinforce, and communicate issues
and concerns that the field is experiencing to our senior Financial Management and Comptroller
leadership. I will soon begin to visit our finance community at your locations to see the service you are
providing, observe Soldiers’ living conditions, engage with senior leadership, and most importantly
thank you for serving as finance professionals.
