MEET THE NEW HONORARY COLONEL OF THE REGIMENT
COL (R) Randy Stevens
COL (R) Randy Stevens enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1982 and received his
commission in 1987 as a Distinguished Military Graduate through the
Stephen F. Austin State University ROTC program in Nacogdoches,
Texas. Throughout his military career, Mr. Stevens served in a myriad
of command and staff positions in support of Army finance operations
and resource management.
A veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan Campaigns, Mr. Stevens achieved
the rank of colonel and retired from the U.S. Army in 2015 after 30 years
of active-duty service to our Nation. Following his retirement, Mr. Stevens
assumed duties as the Deputy Commandant of the U.S. Army Finance and
Comptroller School as a Department of the Army Civilian. Active in a
number of professional organizations, he serves as a member of the
COL (R) Stevens
American Society of Military Comptrollers, U.S. Army Finance Corps
Association, and Military Officers Association of America.
COL (R) Stevens’ education credentials include a Bachelor of Business Administration from
Stephen F. Austin State University, a Master of Business Administration through the Army
Comptrollership Program at Syracuse University, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S.
Army War College. His professional military education includes the Finance Officer Basic and
Advanced Courses, the Army Command and General Staff College, and the Army War College. Mr.
Stevens also maintains a Department of Defense Financial Management Level 3 certification, and a
professional certification as a Certified Defense Financial Manager with Acquisition Specialty
(CDFM-A).
Mr. Stevens has earned several awards and decorations, to include the Legion of Merit and Bronze
Star Medal. He is a recipient of the Brigadier General Robert C. Goetz, Distinguished Member of the
Regiment, and Nathan Towson medallions for his contributions and career achievements in
support of the Army Finance Corps.
COL (R) Stevens and his wife, Tina, have been married for over 35 years and have two adult
children.
